It was Windward Islands’ first win of the competition.T&T invited Windward Islands to bat, but could not put up a score of substance after the opposition amassed 366, managing scores of 172 and 157. Even so, they could probably have asked Windward Islands to bat again had they not allowed them to stage a recovery from 37 for 2 in the first innings.Hodge’s arrival steadied them thereafter, as they recovered through a third-wicket stand of 81 between him and Devon Smith. He later found an able partner in Kyle Mayers, with whom he added 107 for the fifth wicket. Hodge, in fact, played second fiddle as Mayers took over the scoring, slamming his 74 off just 68 balls and with the assistance of 10 fours and three sixes. After Mayers’ dismissal, Hodge batted around the tail to haul the total past 350.T&T’s new-ball bowler Daniel St Craig was wrecker-in-chief, snaring 6 for 62.T&T were reduced to 13 for 2 in reply and went into a shell thereafter. Denesh Ramdin, their captain, fought alone, holding up his end for 75, but the scoreboard remained stagnant for long periods. Yannic Cariah batted 70 balls for seven runs, while Tion Webster laboured for 32 balls for his 3. Tyrone Theophile nipped out Ramdin in his ninth over, before Shillingford put T&T out of their misery by dismissing the last man Bryan Charles in the next over.Shillingford finished with 3 for 36 and found ample support all around, with each of Windward Islands’ six bowlers, making an entry into the wickets column.Like in the first innings, T&T had a solitary batsman fighting after being asked to follow-on. This time, it was the opener Amir Jangoo, who had struck over half his team’s runs when he was dismissed for 69 with T&T slipping to 122 for 6. They folded for 157. Shillingford and Sherman Lewis shared six wickets between them equally, while the left-arm spinner Larry Edwards, and the opening bowlers Mayers and Delorn Johnson accounted for the rest.

Fulham Showing Interest In Signing £10m Beast

Fulham have now shown an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez, and there are indications he could be allowed to leave for a cut-price fee this summer…

Is Davinson Sanchez leaving Tottenham?

In a recent report from Football Insider, it was detailed that Tottenham are keen to offload Sanchez before the summer transfer window shuts, given that he has fallen down the pecking order, and he is now in the final year of his contract.

Spurs would rather sell the defender this summer than let him leave on a free transfer next year, so they would be willing to accept a cut-price offer, with his value dropping considerably since he arrived from Ajax in a £42m deal back in 2017.

At this stage, a bid of £10m would be accepted, making him an affordable option for would-be suitors, of which there are many, with The Daily Mail reporting that Nottingham Forest, AS Monaco and Fulham are all interested in signing him.

With Spurs planning a major clear out, the Cottagers have been linked with a couple of the fellow London club's unwanted players, having also expressed an interest in Eric Dier, although the Englishman would prefer to see out his contract if possible.

In the same report, it is claimed that Marco Silva's side are now preparing for life without Tosin Adarabioyo, with the 25-year-old training away from the main group, amid interest from Spurs and AS Monaco, with the latter expected to bid within 48 hours.

As such, it could be important to bring in a new centre-back, and Sanchez is a potential target, but they may have to move quickly, as Rennes have already came forward with an offer of €9m (£7.7m), which was knocked back by Tottenham.

How good is Davinson Sanchez?

The Colombian was held in very high regard by former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, who once praised his defender for playing two games within a very short time period, saying:

"For me, the surprise was Davinson Sanchez, he was a beast playing two games in less than 48 hours. He has done very well, he is very strong physically and mentally.

"Today he was fantastic on the pitch, to praise him isn't enough, the effort was fantastic."

However, the 27-year-old has since slipped down the pecking order at Tottenham, making just 18 Premier League appearances in the 2022-23 campaign, and he was booed by his own fans for his performance against AFC Bournemouth back in April.

Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez.

A fresh start could be exactly what the Caloto-born defender needs to reignite his career, and he would bring some experience to the Fulham backline, considering he is an established international, making 54 appearances for Colombia since his debut in 2016.

With Tottenham keen on signing Adarabioyo, it could be worth Fulham considering a swap deal for Sanchez, as it may be important to bring in a player with proven Premier League experience, and the Spurs ace has made 143 top-flight appearances.

A deal of that nature is yet to be discussed, but with just a few days remaining in the transfer window, time is of the essence in the Cottagers' pursuit of a new defender.

Pakistan to host three PSL games next year

The schedule for the 2018 PSL has been announced, with the final of the tournament scheduled to be held in Karachi

ESPNcricinfo staff07-Dec-2017The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will stage three games in Pakistan next season, including the final in Karachi at the end of March, which will be the highest-profile game in the port city in nine years. The PCB released an expanded 34-game schedule for the third season of the tournament (it was 24 last season), which will also see the entry of a sixth franchise, Multan Sultans. The tournament will last just over a month, beginning on February 22 with the defending champions Peshawar Zalmi taking on Multan. The format remains the same – all teams playing each other twice before the top four progress to qualifiers and eliminators. As before, the bulk of the games will be played in the UAE, between Sharjah and Dubai. There had been talk of using Abu Dhabi as a venue, more so after the Zayed Cricket Stadium hosted two T20s and ODIs against Sri Lanka earlier this season, but the city will miss out once again on the PSL.After the group stage matches, the first qualifier is the only one that will be played in the UAE. The two eliminators are set to be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the venue for last season’s final. All eyes, however, will be on Karachi, as it attempts to host its biggest match since it last held an international – a Test against Sri Lanka in February 2009. That was the last completed Test in Pakistan, before the attack on the Sri Lanka team in Lahore. There has been persistent chatter about the National Stadium in Karachi not being ready in time to host the game, though last month, the PCB chairman Najam Sethi said, “We have made a commitment to try our best to have it in Karachi.”In October, Reg Dickason, the security expert who advises the ICC and works with FICA, visited Karachi and met with senior security and government officials, the first step in assessing whether or not the city is ready to host high-profile games.West Indies are also scheduled to tour Pakistan in March next year for a three-match T20 series, though venues for that commitment have not yet been confirmed.

Man United Transfer Update On Benjamin Pavard

Manchester United have now been given an update on their pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, and there is an indication they could hold a key advantage in the race for his signature.

Who is Benjamin Pavard joining this summer?

As reported by The Mirror, Man United have already agreed personal terms with Pavard, having informed Bayern of their intentions to sign the defender, but Arsenal are the latest club to have joined the race.

The Gunners are in need of a new defender, as a result of Jurrien Timber suffering a long-term injury, however they are not the only Premier League club vying for the Bayern star, with Liverpool also being named as potential suitors.

There is interest in the Frenchman from abroad, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Inter Milan are now "getting closer" to completing a deal, having submitted a bid of €25m (£21.3m) plus add-ons, although that is still way below Bayern's asking price.

There are indications that United could also stand a good chance of signing the defender, however, as it has recently been reported he is pushing for a move to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils already having one bid knocked back.

French journalist Ignazio Genuardi has now offered a further update on the situation, taking to X to claim that Man United are offering the 27-year-old more money than Inter, despite him having agreed a four-year deal with the Serie A side (via Sport Witness).

Inter are still yet to agree a fee with Bayern Munich, so there is still a long way to go before a deal is done, and United are now waiting to place their bid, with a report from BILD detailing the Bundesliga side are holding out for a fee of at least €35m (£30m).

Not only could the allure of more money be a decisive factor in the £82k-per-week star choosing to move to Old Trafford, but reports from the German media have also detailed that Man United are his preferred option.

How tall is Benjamin Pavard?

The 6 foot 1 defender is capable of playing at both centre-back and right-back, but he has most often been utilised in the latter position, given that he poses a threat on the front foot, averaging 0.16 non-penalty goals per 90 over the course of the past year.

During that time, the France international, who has been lauded as a "wonderful character", has also averaged 2.37 tackles per 90, which places him in the 93rd percentile, when compared to other centre-backs.

benjamin-pavard

The Maubeuge-born star has been a key player for Bayern ever since arriving from Stuttgart, making 30 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, and receiving a 7.36 average Sofascore match rating, the second-highest in the entire squad.

It is clear that Pavard would favour a move to Old Trafford this summer, so it is vital that Man United use that to their advantage and get a deal over the line in the next couple of weeks, as he could be a fantastic addition to the squad.

Liverpool: Klopp Personally Pursuing Bayern Star Ryan Gravenberch

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly already turned his attention to another potential midfield arrival this summer, following the reportedly imminent signing of Stuttgart captain Wataru Endo.

Liverpool have so far officially welcomed just two fresh faces this summer, in the form of Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

What's the latest on Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool?

The Reds' need for midfield reinforcements this summer is no secret, especially after they missed out on Moises Caicedo, and Romeo Lavia. And, with that, Klopp is "already" personally pursuing Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch, according to Manuel Bonke, via Sport Witness.

The original plan was for the Dutchman to stay put at the Bundesliga giants, but a tough time settling into things under Thomas Tuchel has once again led to questions over the midfielder's future, who Klopp is pursuing.

It remains to be seen whether the Reds will make an offer for Gravenberch in the coming weeks, but given his discontent at the Bavarians, they could be well-placed to land his signature for the right price.

If they welcomed the former Ajax man, alongside Endo, then Liverpool could have themselves a solution in the middle of the park, and the former Ajax starlet is reported to be open to the move.

Should Liverpool sign Ryan Gravenberch?

Struggling for options in midfield, signing Gravenberch wouldn't exactly be a bad option for Liverpool.

Whilst the Dutchman's career has somewhat stalled in Germany, making just 24 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, he showed enough potential at Ajax to warrant a move to Bayern in the first place – potential that could finally come to fruition at Liverpool.

If the Premier League giants can get him back to his best, Gravenberch would certainly be an upgrade on the options that Klopp had at his disposal in the previous campaign, too.

Last season, when compared to Jordan Henderson, via FBref, the Dutchman made more blocks, more interceptions, more progressive carries, and enjoyed a better pass completion rate. Every way you look at it, Gravenberch would be an upgrade at Anfield.

Read the latest Liverpool transfer news HERE…

He's earned plenty of deserved praise throughout his career, too, with former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van de Vaart telling Zigo Sport, via The Liverpool Echo: “Whether you’re sitting at home or watching (Gravenberch) in the stadium, he dominates. He’s big, strong and calm on the ball. He spins away and then has a gear and then another gear. He has basically everything."

Meanwhile, Gravenberch's former youth coach, Brian Tevreden, told Goal: “Physically, I see Frank [Rijkaard] in him from back in the day, because he’s tall and very strong.

"But technically, I would say he’s a better version of Pogba in his best days at Juventus. In terms of his technique and his presence on the pitch.”

So, it seems as though the 20-year-old represents a solid option for Liverpool, should they push on and attempt to secure his signature this summer.

From Gravenberch's perspective, a move away could be exactly what he needs to kickstart his career after a difficult spell at Bayern Munich.

As the transfer window ticks by, it's certainly a potential deal to keep an eye on.

'We are not here to make up the numbers' – Bayliss

Trevor Bayliss has provided the clearest hint yet that Jake Ball has earned the final spot in England’s XI for the Brisbane Test

George Dobell in Townsville18-Nov-2017Trevor Bayliss has provided the clearest hint yet that Jake Ball has earned the final spot in England’s XI for the Brisbane Test. While Ball has bowled only 22 first-class deliveries on the tour – he sprained his ankle early in the Adelaide warm-up game and was subsequently deemed unfit to play in Townsville – Bayliss is content he has now proved his fitness and suggested he had done enough to win selection ahead of Craig Overton.Ball bowled 15 overs at full pace on Saturday. And, while England’s bowlers claimed only one wicket in the entire day on a slow Townsville pitch, Ball bowled Moeen Ali within a few minutes on the same surface in a practice session that followed the game.”I thought Ball was our best bowler in Perth and he started off that way again in Adelaide too,” Bayliss said. “He’s fine now. He bowled on Friday and got through a few spells in the nets today [Saturday]. He should be fit and raring to go for Brisbane.”Is it Ball v Overton for selection? I see it just like that, yes. Ball is fine now. He’s fully fit and will be available for selection. I’m pretty close to knowing the XI in my mind, yes.”Bayliss insisted he was not overly concerned by England’s lack of penetration on the final day in Townsville, instead crediting some fine batting from the two Cricket Australia XI centurions and a flat surface that offered bowlers little. He also suggested England’s batsmen had failed to fully capitalise on it the previous day.”We are always a bit disappointed when we don’t take 10 for 90, but the wicket was very flat,” he said. “And those two young guys batted very well. There were two young guys out there that batted very, very well. All credit to them. They looked good. It’s good for Australian cricket.”If you play cricket long enough those days will happen. They stuck at it and that’s all you can ask.”We lost a few wickets at the end of that first innings and probably should have scored a few more runs. From the bowling point of view, we tried a few different things, but I’m sure in the Test matches we’ll be back bowling line and length.”It’s not really damaging to us before the first Test. It was good to spend some time in the field. We will probably have another one or two of them in the Test matches. It was probably good to experience it and the heat as well.”Although the surfaces and the opposition have left England short of experience against the sort of pace anticipated in the Test series, Bayliss considered himself satisfied with their progress.”Over the three games we have got as much out of it as we possibly could,” he said. “We started slow, then built it up over the last couple of games. A Test match – an Ashes Test – will see our intensity rise as high as it possibly can.”A number of guys spent time in the middle with the bat and the bowlers got a lot of overs under their belts. Hopefully everyone now has got their rhythms right and they can come out next week and go from ball one.”Mark Stoneman has been our most consistent batsman. He looks like he’s made for this. He’s tough and nuggety and likes to get on with it when he gets the opportunity.”Bayliss also admitted a couple of selections in the Australian squad had surprised him. But while he was respectful of the opposition – conceding he was close to several members of the Australian team – he made it clear friendships will be put to one side.”There were one or two names in there we maybe weren’t expecting,” he said. “But they are all good players. No matter who Australia pick, they will be good players and we will have to play well to win.”Australia, whether batting or bowling, like to hit the opposition hard early. And we have been talking about going hard ourselves. We are not here to make up the numbers. We are here to win.”I do know some of the guys in the opposition team, but I’m sure they fully respect that I’ve got a job to do. I liken it to playing backyard cricket years ago against your brothers and your best mates. It was full on in the backyard, but you walked away mates. I’m sure the same will occur after the five Tests.”We’ve played some good Test cricket over the last few years. There has been the odd game where we haven’t performed, but we’re very confident, and have played very well against Australia for the last few years.”

Sri Lanka take control after 15-wicket day

Pakistan conceded a 220-run first-innings lead, but bounced back with five wickets late on the third day

The Report by Andrew Fidel Fernando08-Oct-2017Sri Lanka 482 and 34 for 5 (Mendis 8*) lead Pakistan 262 (Azhar 59, Sohail 56, Dilruwan 3-72, Herath 3-84) by 254 runs
Getty ImagesEver the entertainers, Pakistan first made a lavish surrender with the bat, then came hurtling back into the game with the ball, during an extraordinary 15-wicket day in Dubai. Though they ceded a 220-run first-innings lead to Sri Lanka, so total was their dominance in the last 14.3 overs of the day, that their hopes of squaring the series live for another day.Wahab Riaz, in one of his wonderfully intense bursts, uprooted three batsmen while conceding only 10 runs, as Yasir Shah and Mohammad Abbas took one wicket apiece. Though they had seemed almost completely out of the match only one hour prior, it is Sri Lanka who will be under most strain when play begins again on day four. They have five wickets in hand still, but were only 254 runs ahead after the third day. They have lost matches from stronger positions in the past three years.A day of wickets

245 for 15 – Runs and wickets on the third day of the Dubai Test. Pakistan slid from 51 for 0 overnight to 262 all out and Sri Lanka collapsed to 34 for 5. On the first two days, 10 wickets fell for 533 runs.

370 and 34 – Sri Lanka’s scores at the fall of the fifth wicket in the first and second innings respectively. The first five wickets batted nearly 120 overs in the first innings but not even 15 overs in the second.

2 – Instances of Sri Lanka losing five wickets for less than 35 in the last 10 years. Apart from the second innings in this match they lost their fifth wicket at the score of 26 against Australia in Colombo (SSC) last year.

Three separate collapses defined day three. The first arrived in the afternoon session. Pakistan had begun the day at 61 for no loss, but soon haemhorrhaged four wickets for 48 runs, putting Sri Lanka in control of the Test – or so it was thought. Shan Masood was the first to go, allowing debutant Lahiru Gamage to jag a ball through his defences from around the wicket. Sami Aslam – the more confident of the openers – was soon trapped in front by Dilruwan Perera. Having lost their overnight pair inside the first six overs of the day, Pakistan’s senior batsmen Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali attempted a steady recovery. A fine piece of reverse-swing bowling from Suranga Lakmal, however, removed Shafiq. Swinging the ball in to the batsman, then straightening it off the seam, Lakmal collected Shafiq’s edge and had him caught low to the ground, by a tumbling Kusal Mendis at first slip. Babar Azam’s dismissal just before the tea break was largely the batsman’s own doing: he tamely bunted an unremarkable Rangana Herath delivery to short midwicket. The second was Pakistan’s surrender of six wickets for 82 runs, beginning with the dismissal of Azhar Ali towards the tail end of the twilight session. Their batsmen appeared muddled right through that period, Azhar, Haris Sohail and Mohammad Amir all being dismissed lbw by the spinners, before Sri Lanka’s quicks wiped out the last two wickets with the second new ball. The bowlers shared around the rewards. Dilruwan and Herath claimed three wickets each, while Suranga Lakmal and Lahiru Gamage took two apiece. Captain Dinesh Chandimal can take a little credit as well – two of the wickets in this period came from overturning umpires’ decisions, via reviews. It was the third collapse, however, that was the most dramatic. All Sri Lanka had to do when they began their second innings was to see out the new ball, with a view to scoring roughly 200 on day four in order to set up a declaration. But this being a Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test, things rarely go that smoothly for an ascendant team.Mohammad Abbas made the initial breakthrough, getting Kaushal Silva to nick a straightening ball behind. Then the big wicket. Dimuth Karunaratne aimed a cut off a wide Wahab delivery, but managed only to deflect the ball back on to his wickets – the second time he has fallen in this fashion, to the same bowler, in this Test. Wahab then had Sadeera Samarawickrama glove the ball to the wicketkeeper, trying to hook a legside bouncer. Then he struck Chandimal in front with a ball that would have gone on to clip the top of leg stump. In between, Yasir also had nightwatchman Suranga Lakmal out lbw.The only extended wicket-free patch of day three came in the second session, as Azhar and Sohail made 71 runs in each other’s company. Haris attacked occasionally, flitting down the pitch to launch Herath over the straight boundary twice, while Azhar hit his boundaries through cover. But it was the singles and twos that defined their partnership. Azhar favoured the legside, stepping out towards off stump to flick or sweep the spinners. Haris scored square of the pitch on both sides, hitting two memorable fours behind point, off Perera and Nuwan Pradeep. Both went on to make half-centuries, but were each dismissed before they could reach 60. Without this partnership, Pakistan would have been out of the match completely. The expressions of Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur, on the dressing room balcony, summed up his team’s day the best. He was visibly disappointed in the afternoon, tense through the twilight session, then grumpy as Pakistan’s middle and lower order threw their wickets away. At stumps, he was grinning.

Leeds United: Farke now "planning" for player to "remain" at ER

Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto played 82 minutes in their season opener but all isn’t at it seems. He may be on his way out, although he will likely have to “force an exit”, according to Ben Jacobs when talking to GIVEMESPORT.

Will Wilfried Gnonto be a Leeds player for much longer?

Wilfried Gnonto was one of very few shining lights in a very underwhelming 2022/23 season for Leeds United. They are back in the Championship for the time being but the young Italian may not be plying his trade in the second-tier for much longer.

One club at the fore of the saga surrounding Gnonto is Everton, another side who were embroiled in the relegation battle alongside Leeds last term. As per reports from Italian source TuttoMercatoWeb, the future of the Azzurri was subject to an £18 million bid from the Toffees, which is just short of United’s valuation.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a newly relegated club holding out for as big a fee as possible. Southampton are the prime example, as can be seen from Liverpool’s pursuit of young midfielder Romeo Lavia. The Saints may be hoping for £50 million but Liverpool are confident they can pay less for his services.

Back to Gnonto and Leeds are willing to sell if their £20 million valuation is met, and Everton aren’t the only interested party. It has previously been reported that Serie A champions Napoli could bring the 19-year-old in as they look to defend their title.

The thoughts of Ben Jacobs?

"I think that Daniel Farke sees Gnonto as being quite vital to the project in terms of coming back up, so Leeds have been pretty bullish here.

"They've been pretty dismissive with Everton, which tells you that somebody is going to have to pay above market value to succeed on this one.

"As it stands, Everton haven't come back and Leeds are planning for the player to remain at Elland Road for the season. Only a huge offer or a player-driven move to try and force an exit is looking like changing that, at this stage."

Leeds forward Wilfried Gnonto.

How are Leeds looking for the rest of the season?

Leeds got life back in the Championship underway with a 2-2 draw against Cardiff City. The Bluebirds romped into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from new arrivals Josh Bowler and Ike Ugbo. Liam Cooper pulled one back and then Dutchman Crysencio Summerville rescued a point for the home side at Elland Road in the dying embers.

Fellow relegated sides Southampton and Leicester City also left it late themselves too.

Gnonto isn’t the only key figure likely to move on either with a number of teams rumoured to be interested in USMNT international Tyler Adams. The defensive midfielder is the only American left at the club given that Weston McKennie has returned to Juventus and Brenden Aaronson has gone on loan to German side Union Berlin.

Gnonto could be one of the most lethal players in the Championship and help Leeds return to the promised land, given his impressive displays at a higher level in the Premier League last season. Equally, he has a number of suitors and could secure a huge move before the transfer window slams shut.

Newcastle Keen On Signing Creative £12m Gem

Newcastle United are now keen on signing Estudiantes de La Plata forward Benjamin Rollheiser, who would be keen on a move to St. James' Park this summer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

What's the latest Newcastle transfer news?

The Magpies are still looking to add some attacking players to their squad this summer, with Galatasaray star Nicolo Zaniolo being pursued, and Turkish Football claim the Italian would be a major coup for Eddie Howe's side.

Federico Chiesa has also been of interest to Howe, with the Juventus forward being targeted by a number of Premier League clubs, but it has now been reported the £43m-rated attacker would prefer to stay in Italy, if Liverpool do not make a move.

With Allan Saint-Maximin moving on at the end of July, joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli for an undisclosed fee, Newcastle may require a new winger, and they now have their sights set on a surprising new target.

According to journalist Alan Nixon (via Geordie Boot Boys), the Magpies are now keen on signing Rollheiser, having kept a close eye on his performances for Argentine Primera Division side Estudiantes.

Nixon details that a fee of £12m would seal a deal for the 23-year-old, with CSKA Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg already lodging bids of around that figure, however Howe's side hold a huge advantage in the race for his signature.

The forward has his sights set on a move to the Premier League this summer, so if Newcastle were to come in with a firm offer, that would be his preferred destination.

Who is Benjamin Rollheiser?

Football talent scout Jacek Kulig is well aware of the Argentine's abilities even if he is a bit of an unknown quantity to most fans, saying: "Rollheiser is a very good mix of an advanced playmaker and winger. He knows how to play as a winger but also likes to be given creative freedom and operate in the centre of the pitch or use half-spaces like an advanced playmaker. Interesting and very fun player to watch."

One of the Estudiantes star's key attributes is his versatility, having regularly featured across the frontline throughout his career so far, however he is most accustomed to playing at right-wing, making a total of 34 appearances in that area of the pitch.

After starting his career at River Plate, the 5 foot 6 attacker linked up with Estudiantes in 2022, and he has since gone on to establish himself as a key player, amassing 16 goal contributions in 35 games during the 2023 campaign.

Eddie Howe

Signing the former River Plate man would undoubtedly be a risk for Newcastle, given that he is unproven outside of Argentina, and he has only had one impressive season so far, despite being 23-years-old.

However, the versatile forward's progress has been significantly hampered by injuries, being ruled out for seven months due to a ruptured cruciate ligament, and he is now showing signs he is ready to kick on and compete at the top level.

At just £12m, Rollheiser would be a fairly low-risk signing for Newcastle this summer, and he could be a solid addition to Howe's squad.
