Easy as 123: Curtis Campher blitz sets up crushing Essex win

Records tumble at Chelmsford as hosts pile up 417 for 6 in Surrey thrashing

ECB Reporters Network supported by Rothesay15-Aug-2025Essex 417 for 6 (Campher 123*, Benkenstein 83, Harmer 68, Critchley 58) beat Surrey 173 (Steel 49, Bennett 5-36) by 244 runsEssex’s short-term signing Curtis Campher made an instant impression with a whirlwind century amid a multi-record victory over Surrey in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.The 26-year-old Ireland allrounder, who has won more than 100 caps, hit his third List A ton and his highest score in the format, smashing an unbeaten 123 from 68 balls less than 48 hours after flying in for a medical ahead of a three-game stint for an Essex squad down to the bare bones. He thumped six sixes and 12 fours – and his clean hitting meant each one broached no reply – to help Essex to their highest List A total of 417 for 6, and a share in a county record of 175 for the sixth wicket with Simon Harmer. Matt Critchley’s 58 from 50 balls, Luc Benkenstein’s personal-best 83 from 72 and Harmer’s equal-best 68 from 47 were overshadowed by the Irishman’s 109 minutes of mischief and mayhem. To compound the visitors’ misery, seamer Nathan Barnwell, with 2 for 112 in 10 overs, posted the most expensive bowling figures for Surrey in the format. By contrast, rookie Essex bowler Charlie Bennett returned his best figures of 5 for 36 as Surrey were dismissed for 173 to lose by a crushing 244 runs with more than 12 overs unused. It was their heaviest defeat. Only Cameron Steel, with 49, offered resistance, but of a stubborn nature rather than threatening.Critchley had hit the blue touchpaper for Essex’s first win of the campaign, when he finally hit his stride. He scored just one run from his first dozen deliveries before going on the attack against James Taylor, hammering four successive boundaries to all parts off the Surrey pace bowler.By that time he had already lost opening partner Robin Das, playing on to Taylor, and captain Tom Westley, pulling Alex French tamely to square leg.The Essex allrounder reached his own half-century from 40 balls – fifty of them coming in just 28 balls – but a 10th boundary, cut square off Barnwell, was followed by his downfall next ball when he top-edged an attempted pull.Charlie Allison had brought up the fifty stand with Critchley by coming down the wicket and lofting Yousef Majid over long leg for six. His 46 from 47 balls ended with a thin edge for French’s second scalp. For a spell Benkenstein and Campher traded maximums. Benkenstein lofting two over long leg off Steel and another off Thomas, while Campher punished some wayward bowling by Steel with a succession of big hits into and over the well-populated stands. Indeed, he took 19 from one Steel over, including two sixes over midwicket.Benkenstein’s innings came to an end when he was lbw having misjudged a delivery from Thomas that didn’t get up. That brought in Harmer, who kept step with Campher for 16 overs that questioned Surrey’s decision to put Essex in on a worn pitch. The sixth-wicket carnage ended three balls from the end of the innings when Harmer drove Barnwell uppishly to extra cover. That only brought in Simon Fernandes to hammer 12 from those remaining deliveries, including a six second ball over long leg.Surrey’s chase faltered from the start. Thomas was bowled all ends up in Bennett’s second over, Nikhil Gorantla caught at third man in the bowler’s fourth, and Rory Burns snaffled behind in his fifth. Jamie Porter had Ollie Sykes caught on the midwicket boundary before Campher re-entered the arena. With only his third ball, he had Ben Foakes caught behind to underline his all-round ability.Campher should have had a second wicket but Harmer dropped a relatively simple slip chance when Steel had reached 6. The South African offspinner paid the price as Steel launched him over the ropes in the following over.Josh Blake became Harmer’s first wicket on his return from paternity leave when he lofted into the cover before Bennett claimed his fourth by bowling Taylor and a fifth to dismiss Steel. By then the result was long beyond dispute.

INEOS fed up with £6m-a-year Man Utd star and now lining up deal for 'new Xabi Alonso'

A rising star who has been called a “young Xabi Alonso” is “one to watch” in the upcoming transfer windows as Manchester United seek to reinforce their midfield.

Man Utd set to replace Casemiro in 2026

Casemiro has enjoyed some improved form of late, rolling back the years and playing an important role in the 2-1 win away to Liverpool. It looks almost certain that the Brazilian will depart United at the end of this season, however, with the 33-year-old out of contract at that point and unlikely to be offered an extension.

Despite showing flashes of his former self, the Real Madrid legend has been criticised heavily throughout his time at United, including by Jamie Carragher, who famously told him to “leave the football before the football leaves you”.

Assuming Casemiro does move on for a new challenge, a top-quality younger replacement will be needed, in terms of someone who can provide a similar level of expertise in front of the defence and give Ruben Amorim midfield balance, allowing Bruno Fernandes to shine.

Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has been linked with a move to United, with the 21-year-old reportedly wanting to emulate Casemiro’s career, while Benfica ace Florentino Luis has also been backed to come in once his loan spell at Burnley reaches its conclusion next summer.

Man Utd eyeing move for Bayern Munich star

According to Caught Offside‘s Mark Brus, Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic will be “one to watch” at Manchester United and Sir Jim Ratcliffe next summer, as they do not believe Manuel Ugarte is good enough to succeed Casemiro.

“United see Pavlovic as one option to replace Casemiro. Manuel Ugarte is also not seen as a long-term option. A move in January is unlikely, but he’ll be one to watch next summer.”

Bayern Munich'sAlphonsoDaviescelebrates scoring their fifth goal Bayern Munich's Aleksandar Pavlovic

Ugarte makes £6,240,000-a-year at United, but this would certainly be a worthy upgrade – Pavlovic is an enormous talent who has already become a key man for one of the best teams in Europe at the age of just 21, already making 65 appearances for Bayern.

The German has even been compared to former Liverpool and Real Madrid star Alonso by Bayern president Herbert Hainer, which is high praise.

Whether Bayern are willing to let such a prized asset in Pavlovic leave the club in 2026 is certainly up for debate, though, so it won’t be easy for United to entice him to the club.

A return to Champions League football arguably feels like a must if the Red Devils are to have any chance of signing him, but it is clear why he would be a leading target to replace Casemiro.

Pavlovic already plays with a level of maturity beyond his years, both in and out of possession, averaging 1.5 tackles per game and completing 95.2% of his passes in the Bundesliga so far this season.

Ballon d'Or 2025: Did Mohamed Salah deserve the award ahead of Ousmane Dembele?

Ousmane Dembele couldn’t hold back his emotions as he thanked his family after winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or. His story is one of resilience. A star boy who threatened to end in failure, surrounded by injury struggles and a Barcelona move which simply never clicked. But ultimately a player who now sits atop football’s throne after undergoing his very own remontada at Paris Saint-Germain.

For all the opinions about those who missed out on the award, it should not take away from the Frenchman’s own story. No one could have foreseen the genius of Luis Enrique’s new false nine other than the PSG boss himself. Dembele became reborn. A player who simply did not score enough became a player who could not stop doing so.

By the time the final whistle sounded in PSG’s 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan in the Champions League final, Dembele had scored 35 goals and assisted another 16 in all competitions, with seven of those contributions coming in the knockout stage of Europe’s elite competition. There aren’t many who enjoyed a better season than the former Barcelona man. France Football believes that not a single player did, in fact.

Ballon d'Or 2025 Final Rankings

Where did the 30 nominees finish?

By
Charlie Smith

Sep 23, 2025

Lamine Yamal was forced to settle for second place. He’s the star boy that Dembele was and so much more, but he’s been forced to wait before his potential era of dominance commences. Vitinha, meanwhile, surprised many by placing third. The classy midfielder played a key role alongside Dembele in PSG’s treble last season and has earned his place among the world’s best from Wolverhampton Wanderers failure years prior.

And then there’s Mohamed Salah in fourth. Yes, fourth. The Egyptian, who missed out on nomination altogether last season, failed to even make the podium following a year that many believe was worthy of winning the award itself.

Why Salah was robbed of the Ballon d'Or

There aren’t many players who enjoyed a better season than Dembele, as mentioned, but Salah did. The Egyptian created history in the Premier League with more goal involvements than any other player in the history of a 38-game season and even matched the record set by Alan Shearer, who needed 42 games. Simply put, he was unstoppable.

The Ballon d’Or’s social media revealed the criteria for winning the award before the ceremony, stating that individual performances, decisive and impressive character, team performances and achievements, class and fair play would decide the rankings.

Based on the above metrics, it feels absurd that Salah finished outside the top three. The only player close to matching him was indeed Dembele, who deserved to be neck and neck with the Egyptian, not miles beyond him.

Where Salah lost Ballon d'Or votes

Ultimately, Salah will look back on Liverpool vs PSG as the turning point for the Ballon d’Or. Once again, rightly or wrongly, the Champions League took precedence over anything else in the minds of France Football. One penalty shootout between two of the world’s best, who just happened to meet in the last 16, arguably played a large part in Dembele’s eventual victory and Salah’s snub.

That’s where the award is slightly flawed. It’s human nature to lean towards recency, but those voting for the Ballon d’Or winner simply must consider the season as a whole rather than the final months before the ceremony. Salah was strolling towards his throne in the first-half of the campaign, having recorded 30 goal involvements in the Premier League by the time that January arrived.

Dembele, meanwhile, was yet to get going. The forward had recorded 13 league goal involvements and had found the back of the net just eight times. It was far from Ballon d’Or-worthy. We now know, of course, that Enrique’s genius soon played a part and the Frenchman’s best was unlocked, but it was Salah who looked on course for the famous award.

By no means did the Liverpool man bring his form to a sudden halt, either – adding 17 more goal involvements to his name before the Premier League campaign came to an end. Alas, somewhere along the way, the glimmer of PSG’s Champions League trophy blinded France Football to the history that Salah had created.

PSG lift the Champions League.

For now, Liverpool’s Egyptian King is forced to wait for his crowing moment on football’s biggest stage. Whether his time will come at all is now the big question. If that does not arrive, then Salah will no doubt join the likes of Andres Iniesta and Thierry Henry as one of the greatest players to somehow miss out on the award.

INEOS have made £22m ex-Arsenal star Man Utd's top target for January

Manchester United enjoyed a productive summer window and could now have landed a shot in the arm as they bid to force an exciting deal over the line in January.

Man Utd preparing for Man City battle

Despite a mixed start to the Premier League campaign, Manchester United sit above rivals Manchester City in the table as they prepare for Sunday’s derby clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Ruben Amorim will have found some solace in the international break after leading his side to a last-gasp victory over Burnley before his players jetted off to different corners of the world, but the hard work begins now if the Red Devils are serious about climbing the top-flight standings.

Paul Scholes has admitted that it is difficult to gauge what level of league finish would be acceptable given the transitional nature of Manchester United’s season, claiming that anywhere from eighth upwards may be deemed as an adequate return.

“This season… It’s so hard to tell. You’re even looking at the first three games: okay, they won one, drawn one, lost one. So difficult. I think top eight. I think he would take that at this point.”

After a strong showing in the transfer window, Manchester United have Nottingham Forest star Elliott Anderson on their radar heading into January, and he may not be the only name on their radar as the Red Devils build under the guise of INEOS.

Ajax defender Aaron Bouwman is also on the Red Devils’ radar, indicating that they could be set to target youthful assets with years of development potential ahead of them at Old Trafford.

Regardless, the need for ready-made experience is always paramount at Manchester United, and INEOS have now received a boost in pursuit of their top target.

Man Utd have Emiliano Martinez at top of January shopping list

According to reports in Spain, Manchester United have Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez at the top of their shopping list in January as he continues to remain out of the picture in the West Midlands.

The Argentina international, a former Arsenal player, is said to be desperate for minutes ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which could hasten the process of an exit should he manage to land a stunning move to Old Trafford. The report also adds that Martinez could cost €25m (£22m) halfway through the season.

Man Utd decision makers head over heels for big money English midfielder

BySean Markus Clifford Feb 8, 2025

Maintaining a save percentage rate of 69% in the Premier League last term, per Fotmob, Martinez, a World Cup winner in 2022, kept 16 clean sheets in 53 appearances across all competitions in 2024/25, though has started just once this campaign.

AC Milan’s Mike Maignan is also being looked at on a free transfer as an alternative, something that could potentially put the cat among the pigeons regarding Senne Lammens’ place in the pecking order.

Andre Onana’s recent loan move to Trabzonspor has created a space for someone to fill between the sticks at Old Trafford, and Martinez would definitely be a popular solution among supporters to their goalkeeping debacle.

Stuttgart midfielder 'doesn't like' Rodri comparisons and hails Joshua Kimmich as example to follow as youngster addresses Real Madrid return talk

Stuttgart midfielder Chema Andres has drawn comparisons to Rodri following his impressive start in Germany, with rumours now stating that Real Madrid are considering re-signing him next summer. While the former Real Madrid youngster is "privileged" to be compared to the Manchester City midfielder, he is not particularly a big fan of the comparisons.

Chema on song for Stuttgart

Having spent a measly €3 million for 50 per cent of Chema's rights over the summer, Stuttgart have seen the the Spanish wonderkid make rapid strides since he joined from Real Madrid. What initially seemed like a bargain has proven to be an even greater value, with Chema now a regular feature in head coach Sebastian Hoeness' plans. The Madrid academy graduate has played in eight of Stuttgart's 10 games this season, registering an incredible 94 per cent passing accuracy. Not only is he a commanding presence on the pitch from the defensive midfield role, but has also started to unlock his ability to create danger in the final third.

AdvertisementGetty Images SportChema doesn't like to be compared to Rodri

His initial displays for Stuttgart have seen him being labelled as a "Rodri-type" profile, a tall defensive midfielder who keeps things tidy in possession and is authoritarian while winning the ball back. Chema, though, is not a big fan of comparisons.

Speaking to , he said: "People compare a lot, but I don't like it. He's a great player, and we're at very different levels. He's a world-class player, and I'm just starting my career. It's a privilege and a blessing that people see some similarity between us. To be compared to someone of that stature is incredible. Physically, we're somewhat similar, and our playing style may be similar, but comparisons in football aren't good."

When asked which players he looks up to, Chema added: "I'm watching the German league a lot these days. I'm paying attention to Kimmich. Physically, he doesn't look like me, but I think he's spectacular on and off the ball. He recovers and organises. Everything Bayern does goes through him."

A return to Real Madrid on the cards?

Los Blancos still hold 50 per cent of Chema's rights and reportedly have a buy-back option of around €10 million (£9m/$12m). According to reports, Madrid are considering re-signing the 20-year-old next summer, along with Como sensation Nico Paz. Chema is seen by Madrid as the ideal backup to Aurelien Tchouameni.

The Stuttgart star, however, is not in any rush, adding: "Madrid is where everyone wants to be, where every player wants to play. But you have to understand that life goes in stages. My time there was over, and the best thing was to change destinations and start a new life, with other projects and motivations.

"After seven years, Real Madrid is very important in my life. Returning isn't something I'm thinking about right now. I'm happy in Germany. Football is huge, and there are great clubs. Sometimes people focus only on Real Madrid, but every player has his own path. The future will tell."

Kylian Mbappe has 'legs of fire' as France coach says 'freedom' makes Real Madrid striker 'even more' deadly for Les Bleus

France manager Didier Deschamps claims Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe possesses a remarkable range of abilities, adapting his game depending on the system, though he thrives most in a central role. The 26-year-old has recently become France’s second-highest goal scorer, surpassing national legend Thierry Henry, and continues to lead Les Bleus in their World Cup qualifiers.

  • Mbappe’s indispensable role for France

Mbappe has become indispensable for France, combining lightning speed, clinical finishing, and leadership from the front. With 52 goals in 87 appearances, he has already overtaken Thierry Henry and is closing in on Olivier Giroud’s record. The striker has only started two games for France in the World Cup qualifiers as he was out with injury and was left out of the France squad in-agreement with the player as he prioritised his well-being. However, the ex-Paris Saint-Germain striker brings in a lot of experience and is seen as a game-changer by Deschamps.

Beyond scoring, the French forward creates chances, stretches defences, and inspires his teammates, prompting France coach Didier Deschamps to praise him by stating he has "legs of fire." In the press conference, Deschamps announced the full-squad for the upcoming games, giving a call-up to Mbappe.

Deschamps claims Mbappe has "legs of fire"

France coach Deschamps spoke at length about Mbappe’s impact and lauded his contributions during the press conference before their clash against Azerbaijan and Iceland.

"He's a central striker. The range of abilities depends on the system. With us, he has freedom, like most strikers. In the center, there are fewer constraints, especially defensively. He has legs of fire, he's confident, and his head is also fine. He exudes a lot of power and speed, and that's where he makes even more of a difference,' said Deschamps.

Les Blues coach further added: "He's totally committed to us, he fully assumes his role as captain and his responsibility towards the group. We can always do better. He's a central striker who likes to have freedom and participate in the game."

  • Mbappe back to his prime at Real Madrid

Mbappe’s start at Madrid was marked by hurdles such as adapting to the tactical demands of a top club, intense media pressure, and a few physical setbacks that slowed his early momentum. Despite this, his determination and the coaching staff’s tactical adjustments helped him rebound strongly. This season, he has delivered impressive performances in both La Liga and the Champions League, scoring eight goals in seven La Liga matches and contributing five goals in two Champions League appearances so far while finding his Mesut Ozil in teammate Arda Guler. His combination of speed, skill, and clinical finishing has cemented his return to peak form under Xabi Alonso.

England to go spin heavy while Alana King presses for T20 recall

Australia will retain the Ashes with victory in the first T20I at the SCG

Andrew McGlashan19-Jan-2025England will bolster their spin attack for the first T20I against Australia at the SCG as they look to keep the Ashes alive, but there is intrigue as to whether the home side will be able to find room for the in-form Alana King.Heather Knight confirmed that legspinner Sarah Glenn, who took 4 for 20 in her most recent T20I against South Africa, would come into the line-up alongside Charlie Dean and Sophie Ecclestone. She even suggested that England wouldn’t be afraid of playing four frontline spinners, with left-armer Linsey Smith also part of the squad, if they felt conditions suited it.”They’ve played in our T20 team pretty much for the last couple of years altogether,” Knight said of the spin trio. “They’ve been a real strength of ours, those three bowlers, the different attributes they bring, the different types of spin, and the different roles that they play.Related

Gardner ton and King five-for give Australia ODI series sweep

Gardner glad to have reached 'emotional' maiden hundred

Knight backs T20 'reset' to bring out England's best

“Sarah will definitely come in. She’s one of the best spinners in the world. She’s been outstanding for us, particularly in those middle overs, taking wickets and then really squeezing oppositions. It’s been a big part of our tactics against opposition teams.”Knight also indicated that Sophia Dunkley would continue at No. 3 and that allrounder Freya Kemp could be an option for the middle order.Australia are confident they have the batting order to counter whatever England throw at them, having taken Ecclestone for her second-most expensive ODI figures in Hobart”I’ll back myself against spin, which is nice,” Phoebe Litchfield said. “Ecclestone, bowling into me, she still poses the big threat, but I think [with] our lefties there’s a point of difference for our team to have that spinning into us. Charlie Dean has also been bowling really well, and the likes of Glenn could come in. The middle order, you kind of face more spin [and] I prefer that.”Australia will retain the Ashes with victory in Sydney, but this is their first T20I since they exited last year’s World Cup in the semi-final against South Africa. And, while Georgia Voll’s inclusion in the squad is the only change in personnel, there remain questions to be answered about how they line-up.Sarah Glenn is set to form a three-pronged spin attack•Getty Images

King took nine wickets across the final two ODIs but has not played a T20I since the 2023 World Cup in South Africa, with Georgia Wareham the preferred option in that format. The pair teamed up with great effect in Hobart where Wareham crunched 38 off 12 balls before taking two key wickets, and Knight expected the same in Sydney.”I think I would be surprised [if King wasn’t selected],” Knight said. “We’re probably expecting a couple of leggies. They’ve obviously had some success against us in the series, but we’ll have to see who lines up tomorrow.”Sophie Molineux, who played in the recent World Cup, is injured so there is an opening for King with the selectors having moved on from Jess Jonassen. King was also the joint-leading wicket-taker in this season’s WBBL with Perth Scorchers, claiming 20 at 13.30.”I think she’d make a massive impact, but, equally, you saw Georgia Wareham, her impact [when] she came in the other game,” Litchfield said. “Those two have been bowling amazingly well in T20 cricket for long periods of time and Georgia Wareham’s probably had the luck of the green being selected, but they offer so much individually and you’d love to put them both in the side, but unfortunately there’s probably not much room… so it’s a tough choice because they’re so good.”The other interest around Australia is how they structure their batting order after the T20 World Cup where a failed experiment with Wareham at No. 3 found the likes of Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland having very few deliveries to make an impact.Alana King had a big impact on the ODI series•Cricket Australia via Getty Images

Litchfield made 15 not out off nine balls against India batting at No. 7 and 16 not out off nine deliveries in the semi-final against South Africa from No. 6, where the top order had struggled to lift the tempo, although she was reluctant to talk up a move higher in the order.”Our batting order is just ridiculous,” Litchfield said. “I’m pretty excited for our team to unleash the shackles tomorrow. I really enjoy it in the middle order. I think you look at the likes of Ellyse Perry, Tahlia McGrath, Ash Gardner, they’re striking the ball really well at the moment. Probably better than I am. So full trust in them.”I think the situation [in the World Cup] was always quite tough, the slow wickets. If you give me an extra 20 balls, I probably won’t strike at 160. So I think the way I came in and the position that we were in forced me to do that. But in every game of T20 cricket, I’m trying to play the same way and try to score as many runs off as little balls as possible.”Grace Harris, fresh off 140 off 78 balls for Queensland in the WNCL, is also part of Australia’s squad for the T20Is to provide a further batting option alongside the uncapped Voll. Harris played three matches at the World Cup, starting in the middle before moving to the top when Alyssa Healy injured her foot.Australia (possible): 1 Alyssa Healy (capt & wk), 2 Beth Mooney, 3 Ellyse Perry, 4 Ash Gardner, 5 Phoebe Litchfield, 6 Tahlia McGrath, 7 Annabel Sutherland, 8 Georgia Wareham, 9 Alana King, 10 Darcie Brown, 11 Megan SchuttEngland (possible): 1 Maia Bouchier, 2 Danni Wyatt-Hodge, 3 Sophia Dunkley, 4 Nat Sciver-Brunt, 5 Heather Knight (capt), 6 Amy Jones (wk), 7 Freya Kemp, 8 Charlie Dean, 9 Sophie Ecclestone, 10 Sarah Glenn, 11 Lauren Bell

Fulham weigh up surprise move for £50m Chelsea man who's frustrating the club

Chelsea are growing frustrated with a member of Enzo Maresca’s side for one key reason, with their Premier League rivals now weighing up a surprise move for him this summer.

The Blues are expected to part company with a host of players over the coming weeks, following their agreed exit deals for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Basir Humphreys and Marcus Bettinelli, who brought in around £19 million worth of transfer fees to the Stamford Bridge coffers.

Lesley Ugochukwu, João Félix, Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell, David Datro Fofana, Armando Broja and Axel Disasi are all up for sale (The Athletic), given they’re out of Maresca’s long-term plans, while matchday regulars like Christopher Nkunku, Noni Maduke and Nicolas Jackson have also been linked with the exit door in recent weeks.

The latter two players have even been described as almost certain to leave, amid reported interest from Arsenal.

There is also the ongoing matter of Raheem Sterling and his next club. The £50m England international is back from a lacklustre loan spell at Arsenal, and his £325,000-per-week wages are poised to be a major stumbling block in Chelsea’s attempts to offload the ex-Man City star.

Reports last week of Sterling’s advanced talks to join Besiktas appear wide of the mark, but journalist Simon Phillips now reports that west London rivals Fulham could take the 30-year-old off Maresca’s hands instead.

Fulham weigh surprise move to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea

Writing via his Substack, Phillips reports that Fulham are weighing up a surprise move for Sterling, with Chelsea growing frustrated by the winger’s exit stance.

“SPTC sources are still hearing that he ideally does not want to move away from his family in London and wants to stay there, vastly reducing his options and making it frustrating for all involved,” said the reporter.

“If Sterling truly does only want to stay in London, then he is going to need to lower his wage demands, which he may well do.

“After having spent last season on loan with Arsenal, Sterling is once again looking for a new club to join. We understand that Fulham have been alerted by his availability this summer and are weighing up whether they can make a move. However, his wages put them off at the moment and will need to go down if they are to land him. But they like the player and there is interest from them this summer.

“Sterling’s agents will reach out to other London clubs as well to offer the player around, but at the moment, we have heard that Sterling is not chasing a pay day in Saudi or even the States. His priority is to stay in London close to all of his family.”
