  Sandy Baltimore (Chelsea)

  Baltimore enjoyed a fantastic first season at Chelsea, playing a key role as the Blues won all three domestic honours on offer without losing a single game. That was despite her playing in a left-back position for most of the campaign, rather than in her usual spot in the forward line. The 25-year-old still managed nine goals and six assists in all competitions, with her outstanding performance in the FA Cup final a particular highlight.

  Barbra Banda (Orlando Pride)

  Banda has been in excellent form since the new NWSL season started in March, scoring eight goals in her first 14 games, but the end of her 2024 campaign also counts towards the Ballon d'Or. That's particularly significant as it includes the period in which the forward helped fire the Orlando Pride to the NWSL Shield and a first-ever NWSL Championship.

  Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona)

  After winning the Ballon d'Or in 2023 and 2024, Bonmati has a great case to do so again in 2025. She was named Player of the Tournament at Euro 2025, after helping Spain reach the final, and also won the Best Player award in the Champions League last season, in which Barcelona reached the final. Neither of those games saw Bonmati finish on the winning side, with England and Arsenal victorious respectively, but she did play a huge part in Barca's domestic treble.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Friday rejected claims that the board has approached any former Australian cricketers to be India’s next head coach. He hinted that Rahul Dravid’s successor could be an Indian by saying that he should have a “deep understanding” of the game’s structure in the country.While Dravid has told the BCCI that he is not seeking a third stint, former Australian players like Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer said that they had turned down approaches for the high-profile position.”Neither I nor the BCCI have approached any former Australian cricketer with a coaching offer,” Shah said in a statement. “The reports circulating in certain media sections are completely incorrect.”Related

Both Ponting and Langer are involved in the IPL as the head coaches of Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants respectively. Gautam Gambhir, who is currently mentoring Kolkata Knight Riders, has been sounded out by the BCCI for the job, while Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming has also been linked to it.”Finding the right coach for our national team is a meticulous and thorough process,” Shah said. “We are focused on identifying individuals who possess a deep understanding of the Indian cricket structure and have risen through the ranks.”The BCCI secretary also said that having in-depth knowledge of Indian domestic cricket will be one of the important criteria for appointing the next coach. Sendo assim o acumulado do ano para o Palmeiras é de um lucro de R$ 21,6 milhões, valor acima do orçado, uma vez que os dirigentes previam um déficit anual de R$ 20,6 milhões no período analisado.

Os valores mudaram por conta da receita total acumulada pelo clube durante 2022. Além dos títulos, vendas de jogadores, mecanismos de solidariedade e os ganhos com bilheteria ajudaram a construir R$ 728 milhões de faturamento até novembro (clube orçou R$ 554,4 milhões para o período). As despesas na casa dos R$ 706,4 milhões foram altas e acima do orçamento (R$ 575,1 milhões), mas ainda assim menores do que a receita, permitindo o superávit acumulado no ano.

“When I signed, I already knew what was coming. I was and am ready to face it, and I'm calm. I've been calm all this time, and I still am. That's what they tell me: calmness, that everything will turn out well, and I have confidence in them.” he told .

"I never had any doubts about my future or my sporting side. Obviously, coming from Espanyol, there are a few more doubts, but I didn't have any on the sporting side.

"Many names and many teams come up, but it's not always like that. It's true that there was interest from other teams, but in the end, there was nothing like what Barca offered me on a sporting level and in terms of what they have built, the young team they have, with the potential to win everything. There was nothing, and in that sense, I had no doubts."

Garcia received a lot of offers from other clubs but he was won over by sporting director Deco after he presented the project which consisted of a very good economic offer along with chance of playing with a young team full of quality.

“Above all, the project there is, the team there, so young, with so much quality. And they made me feel they truly loved me. They made a significant financial commitment that many teams probably wouldn't have made. So I felt they truly loved me, that it was a commitment they were making with great determination. And that's very important for a player. Feeling loved and truly loved is very important to me,” he said.
